What is a certified translation?

The validity of a translated legal document goes through its certification by a state organism, entity, or person chosen by the legislation of the country in which you wish it to have a legal validity. AP | PORTUGAL has specialized collaborators working in different fields, such as the judicial, financial or commercial fields, in which a certification is frequently demanded.
Please consult the Chamber of notaries site to find more about certified translations.

What is conference interpreting?

In conference interpretation the interpreter sits in a sound absorbing cabin. He hears the participant’s voice and forthwith provides a translation through his/her microphones.

What is the difference between a project taken in charge by a freelancer and a language services company?

Basically, a work proposition is always expressed by a number of words. Working with a freelancer, 100% of the quote will be meant for translation, when with a language service company like AP | PORTUGAL, 40% will be meant for translation, 18% for proofreading, 12% for rereading, 18% for quality control and TSS, and 12% for coordination and CATTI technical assistance.
