QSP SUMMIT'17 - UNDERSTANDING CONSUMER

This year edition of QSP Summit, organized by QSP - Consultoria de Marketing, will take place on 23rd March. AP | PORTUGAL will be present at the event providing interpretation services.

The QSP Summit'17 will be held on 23rd March, 9:15 a.m., at Congress Centre Exponor Porto, and the speakers include Paco Underhill, Li Huang, Harper Reed, Kyle Nel, among others. This year, the theme of QSP Summit is Consumer, with the motto Understanding Consumer. This year edition will also include the following worklabs: "Innovation", "Disruptive Hall", "Consumers of Emerging Markets", "Emotional Brands", among others.

CYCLE "A CITY CAN BE A HEART. A FIST - LIVRARIA LELLO TALKS"

The cycle "A city can be a heart. A fist - Livraria Lello Talks" will take place between January and March at Armazéns do Castelo (Rua das Carmelitas, 166), in Porto. AP | PORTUGAL will be present at the event providing interpretation services and renting audiovisual equipment.

The first event of this cycle took place on 27th January and the main theme was "What is the 'full stop'* of Porto?". The panel of speakers included Álvaro Domingues (Geographer), Cristina de Azevedo (Financial Analyst), Eduardo Aires (Designer at White Studio) and a representative of European Cities Marketing.

The second edition of the cycle of Talks will take place on 24th February (schedule to be defined) and the theme will be "Livraria Lello as Babel". The third edition will focus on the theme "What are the paths for Porto?" and will take place on 24th March.

CHRISTENING CEREMONY OF TWO HOTEL SHIPS OF DOUROAZUL

The solemn christening ceremony of two hotel ships of DouroAzul's fleet will take place on 25th March, at Gaia Quay, in Vila Nova de Gaia. AP | PORTUGAL will be present at the event providing interpretation services.

The hosts of the event will be Manuel Luís Goucha and Giovanna Antonelli and it will begin at 6 p.m. The new hotel ships that will be part of the fleet are Douro Elegance and Douro Serenity. Their godmothers will be singer Joss Stone and Victoria's Secret model Sara Sampaio, respectively.

The 13th edition of the UGT's Congress is set to take place from 25th to 26th of March, at Coliseu do Porto. AP | PORTUGAL will be present at the event providing interpretation services.

The central themes of the 13th UGT's Congress will will be Development, Employment and Social Justice, which are values defended by the union founded after the "Carnation Revolution" of 1975. The first edition of this Congress also took place in Porto, between 29th and 30th January 1979.

13TH GENERAL UNION OF WORKERS (UGT) CONGRESS



AP | PORTUGAL WILL BE ATTENDING GALA'S ANNUAL CONFERENCE "LANGUAGE OF BUSINESS"

AP | PORTUGAL, as a member of Globalization and Localization Association (GALA), will be attending the annual conference "Language of Business". The 2017 edition will take place on 26-29 March, in Amsterdam, at Hotel Okura Amsterdam.

The conference will provide moments of knowledge sharing and insights about the translation and localization industry, customer needs, technologies used and studies made about the industry. The event will feature several speakers who will share their experience.

On the 3rd day of the event, 28 March, we will be pleased to participate on the Wordbee Users' Meeting, since we are the official agent for the Portuguese-speaking world. This meeting will give us the opportunity to meet or to catch up with industry peers and to strengthen professional relationships among Wordbee community members from several countries.

GALA Annual Conferente 2017 - Amsterdam


"What Really Matters" Foundation

A new congress organised by the "What Really Matters" Foundation is set to take place in March. AP | PORTUGAL will be present at the event providing interpretation services.

The first event of this edition will take place on the 14th, at 9:30 a.m., at Campo Pequeno, in Lisbon, and the speakers will be Shane O'Doherty, Paco Arango, Fernando Costa and Enhamed Enhamed. The second event of this edition will take place on the 27th, at 9:30 a.m., at Casa da Música, in Porto, and the speakers will be Ângelo Felgueiras, Miriam Fernández and Paco Arango.

The "What Really Matters" Foundation aims at promoting universal human, ethical and moral values through cultural activities. The first edition organised in Portugal took place in 2014, in Lisbon, and, a year later, Porto received the first edition organised in the north of Portugal.
